Oceanside City Beach, situated on The Strand, is the most popular stretch of beach. It’s where the Boardwalk & Oceanside Municipal Pier meet, providing opportunities for people-watching,  fishing & enjoying the classic beach scene. My friend Billy Rae is the Pier fish inspector …”    Sandbag C. Gull, angler

Oceanside Pier is one of the longest wooden piers on the West Coast, stretching a quarter mile out over the water.  Kids will enjoy the themed eateries & amusement park style venues. Stop a moment and watch the surfers catch the break off the Pier, or the anglers catch their evening dinner…

Access to the pier is via  a pedestrian bridge  from Pacific Street or from beach level  on the Strand via stairs or steep ramp. Public vehicles are not allowed on the Pier.

The Beach Community Center and the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater provide a number of events during the season, such as Jazz concerts & plays, in additional to assorted swimming, volley ball and surf competitions.
