“La Jolla Cove is a small bay with deep water on the north-facing point of the cliffs, backed by the green grassy expanse of Ellen Browning Scripps Park.  Sea caves here are popular with kayakers, snorkelers and divers.  These waters are part of the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Preserve, protecting everything beneath the sparkling blue waves.  On the sands, though, staking your claim is half the battle!  It fills up fast.  You know what they say about the early bird…”  Sandbag C. Gull

The Cove features a beach that is popular with families who enjoy sunbathing, picnicking & swimming in the calm waters here, but during peak season can be very overcrowded.
