“The University of California San Diego campus sits along the shoreline, where students can enjoy the pristine waters of La Jolla without the crowds of the public beaches.  The Scripps Oceanographic Institution Pier is private property, but many surfers and bodyboarders enjoy the surrounding area.  The Scripps Institute is also home to the Birch Aquarium, a family favorite for viewing sea life, from the mysterious creatures of the deep to tide pool favorites!  I think of the aquarium as reality TV…”  Sandbag C.
