Sandbag C. Gull, Chief Narrator“The beach scene in Del Mar starts at 17th Street.  Here you’ll find the main lifeguard tower, beach & sport rentals,  showers & more. Both Poseidon & Jake’s Del Mar restaurants are here (right on the sand!) & offer some of the  freshest catch in town.  My catch is fresher, but I ain’t sharing!” Sandbag C. Gull, Maitre D’

If you can score a spot in the public pay lot right next to the lifeguard tower, then you’re in luck!  Otherwise, plan to join the legions looking for street parking, and get ready to tote in your sundries for a beautiful day at the beach.
