Long before eco-resorts became chic, where could vacationers enjoy the beach in a carnival atmosphere, while staying in tents?
From 1900 to 1939, Coronado’s Tent City provided visitors a festive home-away-from-home. While staying in canvas tents, residents enjoyed plentiful water activities and kept up to date on events & activities with the locally published Tent City newspaper.
Coronado beach consistently ranks among the Top 10 USA beaches & for good reason. Sublime vistas, soft white sand & picturesque beach homes define this quintessential beach town.
Come by car, ferry or water taxi and enjoy a leisurely day on the “island”. Got dogs? Dog Beach at the north end of the beach is a must stop for all our furry friends. Round off your day at the Hotel Del Coronado …
