Point Loma is home to the Cabrillo National Monument and the iconic Old Point Loma Lighthouse. The southern point reaches toward Coronado and helps shelter the San Diego Bay from the Pacific Ocean.
In the early 1900’s, Pt. Loma was largely inhabited by Portuguese fishermen and to this day, exudes the charm of that era. Here you will also find Shelter Island (aptly named), home to resorts, marinas and charter fishing companies, along with some of the most remarkable views of the downtown San Diego skyline.
