Stretching north from the San Diego River and bordering Mission Bay, Mission Beach is an extremely popular destination offering visitors a waterfront boardwalk, amusement park, a variety of restaurants & nightclubs, and lodging within walking distance.
Home to Belmont Park (home to one of California’s oldest wooden roller coasters), many vacation rentals are available in the densely developed neighborhood. Beach-front trails stretch the length of Mission Beach, on both the ocean and bay facing sides of the peninsula. Nearby Sea World and Mission Bay Park offer plenty of activities and fun, if one can be pried away from the beach!
