“Coastal Encinitas consists of three different communities, Cardiff-by-the-Sea to the south and Leucadia to the north. Fondly known as the ‘Surf Capitol’, summer months find Encinitas’ streets lined with the iconic “Woody” surf wagon. Eclectic Restaurants and boutique shopping abound along historic Highway 101.
Moonlight Beach offers regular summer concerts and the easiest public access. Swami’s offers expert surfing conditions and gorgeous ocean bluff views all the way to La Jolla [when the weather is right] Cardiff and Leucadia are more laid back counterparts to the downtown area, still thriving with small independent shops offering a taste of the roots of the community.
