The San Diego Derby Dolls‘ Banked Track bouts always sell out. Why? Where else do you see women in peak physical condition hurtle around a track engineered for optimal velocity, blocking the scoring ‘Jammers‘ as they try to pass the pack?
San Diego’s home banked track team, the ‘Swarm’ will take on LA’s ‘Sirens’ this Saturday, March 20th at 7 PM in Wyland Hall at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Warning! Bleacher seats go quickly -go online if you want seats with a clear view of all of the action. ‘Standing Room’ is just that – with a banked track, there is no sitting on the floor to see the track, and even these tickets sell out by the first whistle.
Want to join in on the fun, but not negotiate the drive? The Derby Dolls have two party buses available, one departing from the Bluefoot Bar in North Park, and one from Kaminski’s BBQ & Sports Lounge in Poway. Riders must be 21 and up, and tickets include admission to the bout, transportation to the After Party, and a ride back to the point of departure. From the typically exuberant entrance of the Party Bus groups, many take advantage of the beer available enroute!
Show your home-town team spirit! Wear yellow and you’ll receive a free raffle ticket for a goodie bag full of fabulous swag (that’s LA talk for free stuff) See you there!
