¹Kook (or stinkbug) is a poser or wanna be surfer. Rides with a squat spread leg stance with his or her butt up in the air…like a stinkbug.
²Looking for some shade (the stuff dreams are made of) describes spending a session tucked in barrels, or in ‘the green room’.
³A Murph is not a good thing. A Murph gets no respect in the line. None. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Why? Because it’s felt that Murph-man shouldn’t be in the water. He’s a hazard and is apt to injure himself and others with his lack of surfing etiquette, talent or common sense, or a combination thereof. Remember the video above?
