All along the beach in San Diego County, families & friends will be vying for the best viewing positions.  Some businesses are upping the ante with dinner cruises and musical extravaganzas.  Don’t know where to begin?

7 a.m. – 29th Annual Independence Day 15k run and 5k walk
9 a.m. - The 45th Annual Rough Water Swim
10 a.m. - Coronado’s Independence Day Parade
4-5:30 p.m. – Spreckels Park will host patriotic music. U.S. Navy Seals will perform strategic maneuvers on the land, air and at sea over the Glorietta Bay

6 p.m. – Visitors can bring picnic goodies &  watch the fireworks. View multiple fireworks displays from the deck of the USS Midway. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages allowed. Live music. Limited tickets available; adults $10; children (6-17) $5.
