“STANDING ROOM ONLY…”

The San Diego International Triathlon returns once again to our Downtown waterfront for their 26th annual event, on June 28, 2009. The San Diego International Triathlon is one  of the  longest standing triathlons in the country, and a HUGE local favorite. Participation is eagerly anticipated and each year the event  rapidly sells out.

Both races take place at Spanish Landing Park, located on Harbor Drive (near the San Diego International Airport.) Encinitas’ Nytro Multisport Technology had the 100 ‘Last Chance To Enter Event’ tickets. Hopeful participants lined up in the pre-dawn hours for a dash to the door at 10 AM in hopes of a ticket.  As we drove through Encinitas early this morning, the line stretched far along Highway 101… Both events are now sold out.

The International: 1K Swim, 30K Bike & 10K Run

The Sprint: .5K Swim, 20K Bike & 6K Run
